We want to be transparent here as we’ve been asked this question a few times.
We truly understand what a financial burden treatments can be. Our founder literally moved abroad to get her costs of treatments down.
Embie require a full time staff to support it, monthly recurring costs and ongoing development. This requires the company to be for profit.
For a platform to make money to sustain its costs with advertising (so that it’s free to users), it takes hundreds of thousands of users, which takes a lot of time to build and a mass market. Women and couples receiving treatment are still a small segment of the population, and therefore a subscription model is the one that makes sense from a financial perspective at this point.
We do hope that in the future – as we gain popularity or the investment part of the industry stabilizes after covid – we can make Embie accessible to all for free, but at this time we are unable to.
We offer flexible options with monthly, quarterly and annual subscriptions, which we hope fit your already tight budget.
